Updates and Changes

Not too many updates this month for the site, but we have some meta-updates that may be of interest:

• We’ve finally put together the annual usage totals for September 1, 2025 through August 31, 2026; that’s all below the Monthly usage, so scroll down!
• We’ve massively updated and expanded the LFFC Zine published by Fenestrate Press; it includes data from the first two years, as well as enhanced and better-organized information throughout. Check it out, and please give it to others who might be considering a similar project!

Monthly Usage

This month, we had 73 outgoing completed calls made from our Futel phone, as well as 18 and 306 calls made from our Connections phones at the Estelita’s Library Seattle Community Fridge (SCF) site and Cafe Red site, respectively. The Cafe Red numbers were significantly down this month because there was a bit of damage to the phone and it took us about a week to get a replacement in place. (The damage wasn’t total (well, OK, the handset was totalled, but the base wasn’t), but unfortunately the jacks were destroyed and we haven’t gotten the time to The Bride the two partially-broken phones into one new and improved handset–when we do, it’ll be a new spare phone!)

• 77 CoBan rolls
• 89 ABD gauze pads, and 95 non-adherent pads
• 615 nitrile gloves
• 205 packets of Vaseline
• 131 sunscreen packets
• 244 masks (N95 and KF94)
• 229 doses of ibuprofen
• 137 pairs of earplugs
• 92 ponchos
• 93 pencils
• 190 body wash/shampoo/shaving gel packets
• 270 toothbrushes
• 181 tubes of toothpaste
• 192 tampons
• 153 menstrual pads (across all sizes)
• 508 packets of hand sanitizer
• 118 paper bags
• 240 razors
• 471 condoms, 20 internal (“female”) condoms, and 359 lubricant packets
• 33 boxes (66 doses) of naloxone nasal spray, and 32 kits (64 doses) of injectable naloxone
• 7 water bottles (the tail end of the 100 water bottles we bought as an experiment).

Our COGGA for this month is $942.84, not including naloxone, condoms, or lubricants (all of which are provided by outside groups at no cost to us).

Annual/Biannual Usage

With two full years (Sept 1, 2024 - August 31, 2026) under our belt, here are our distribution totals (note these do not include September 2026 usage above):

Adding in September 2026 usage, we’ve now distributed more than 6,000 pairs of socks in 25 months! Not bad for a driveway.
